Childhood memory

I don't have much from when I was a child, but somehow I did end up with my musical Santa....I remember him from years past, I LOVED taking him to bed at Christmas time and winding his music and just laying there listening....he was pretty and bright back then, with a burlap sack lined with green shining paper that hung over his shoulder and a very white beard.  Now he is very worn and is still much loved by this "Older" little girl!  I am so Blessed to have this small part of my childhood to remember.

Zig Ziglar

One of Mike's favorite "mentors" has been Zig Ziglar, mostly from his tapes that Mike has listened to over and over and once or twice from a Seminar....but none-the-less, he has encouraged my husband over the years....It touched my heart when Mike told me that he had died today....Mike felt sad, but I know he will continue to listen to his tapes and continue to be encouraged by this man and his amazing life! Thanks, Zig......for being a man of integrity and passing it on to so many.

The "Grandma Quilts" Vintage/Modern

This Baby shower for Betsy was given by her sisters, this is the Shower that Betsy got her "Grandma Quilts"
Karen, Betsy's Mom, is well known for her amazing Double Wedding Ring quilts and this one did not disappoint!
It is yellow and hand quilted.
The Nursery colors are yellow and grey and Betsy loving vintage and modern (just ask Katie) I went to work on a more modern quilt for my next grandson's Mommy.
With Betsy's help we came up with this stunning grey and cream chevron quilt which is machine quilted.
So here we are, two very excited Grandmas one very very excited Mommy and a Vintage like quilt and a modern quilt...and they look amazing hanging on the crib together....

Birthday Blessings and Fabric! SCORE

Above is a picture of 60 Fat Quarters, to celebrate my 60th...this was a treat and an amazing gift.
from my friend LouAnne, what a "tower" of fun....and she made that adorable "60" to wrap it all with...
I can't wait to dig into these, but I am going to hate tearing down that tower of fabric...
My long-time friend, Sue, gifted me wool and beads with some pearl cotton...
I do think I shall look into a wool Christmas project.  I LOVE LOVE wool and pretty seed beads.

Here is all the Birthday Fabric, I know, you may be thinking, Oh MY Goodness...
the Blessings of Fabric make this Birthday girl really happy...
thank you girlfriends...xo

Levi conquering his fears!

Levi was not so sure about Grandma's washer and dryer, after many times sitting as far away as possible, he finally decided he had to take a closer look!
Now, those very scarry things in Grandma's hall are not scarry at all!

60th Birthday/ Christmas Party

Posted by PicasaMy Quilt Group threw me a 60th Birthday/Christmas party this past week. It is our tradition to celebrate what we call "0" Birthdays with a special QUILT gift and a party...we do this once per person and this year we had two in our group....we did Helen's "QUEEN" party earlier this year and then they did a Christmas Theme for me, I was so surprised, not exactly at the celebration but for sure the theme!  I had such a great time, Sue's house was "decked" out with Christmas and Santa came to see me!
These friends made me the most wonderful red/green tablerunner....with amazing appliqued poinsettias on the ends....It is just perfect!
I am blessed with lots of wonderful friends....
thank you

Katie and I were thrilled to host a baby shower for Betsy and baby boy Dunlap.

The Theme was Yellow and Grey and Chevrons.
Katie created an adorable clothesline with really sweet yellow and grey baby items...
it was a lovely afternoon with Betsy and Nick's family and friends "showering" her and baby with much needed items.
we are looking forward to meeting this little guy in early October!
Blessings abound!
